A unique feature of Wellness Rox is personalization. We customize care based not only on goals, but on how you prefer to reach those goals, integrating herbal and mind/body options. There are many paths to wellness. We respect personal core values and support non-pharmacologic approaches where appropriate. but ensure that you understand when medication and surgery are critical.

Approach #4

Culturally Aligned

We live and breathe within our heritage. Culture is not just our past, but our present and our future. Our friends and family define our lives, and form the infrastructure of our wellbeing. It is because everyone is immersed in culture that health and wellness planning must be also. Having a provider that shares a similar lived experience facilitates conversation. Bring your culture with you as we discuss what is best for you. Don’t be afraid to be you, you were born uniquely you.

Our Services

Why Integrative Medicine?

11Digestion & Detox

Digestion & Detox

Recent research has shown that the gut microbiome plays a role not only in digestion, but in weight gain, metabolism, energy and even mental health.

11Chronic Conditions

Chronic Conditions

Chronic health conditions include diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma, among other things. These conditions can shorten our lives, sometimes slowly and sometimes suddenly as through stroke, heart attack or a sever asthmatic event. Most of these conditions can be managed, and controlled. Management depends upon readiness, appropriate interventions that align personally, and adequate support. We are here to provide information and alternatives, support you in your choices, and help you stay focused on your goals.

11Weight Release

Weight Release

Wellness at any weight is important for longevity and quality of life. Weight is a measure of body mass, but not necessarily of health. It is just one of the metrics you may use in assessing and achieving optimal wellness. Weight may be a sign of past trauma, compromised lifestyle, lack of support, nutritional imbalance, or mental stress. Addressing body, mind and spirit, along with nutrition and movement are all part of letting go of (or perhaps adding on) weight.

11Fatigue

Fatigue

Fatigue is often due to insufficient sleep, stress, nutrition, and sometimes chronic infections like EBV and lyme. “Long Covid” cases are also now emerging with a constellation of symptoms, fatigue being a prominent one. Integrative approaches are the best way for addressing these conditions and some of the underlying causes.

11Sexual and Reproductive Health

Sexual and Reproductive Health

Sexual health is a normal part of intimacy at any age, including for our seniors. We help you stay safe, while supporting mutually satisfactory engagement.

11Stress and Trauma

Stress and Trauma

Research shows that past traumas have an effect on our DNA, affecting our health and resilience, and that of our children and our children’s children. Stress interferes with sleep and digestion. We need adequate restful sleep for restoring health on a daily basis, and digestion for absorbing the nutrients that fuel and rebuild the body. We need support for our mental health in a world where we are under constant assault. We can not undue slavery, ware, childhood abuse, or loss, but we can do whatever is in our power to reclaim control of our wellbeing by seeking resources and being intentional in our healing beginning today.
